The seven-time Drivers’ Championship winner, who has struggled for consistency this season, has a very close bond with his English Bulldog pet.

Roscoe has often accompanied Hamilton on his travels across the globe over the years, with the driver even seen walking the adorable pet in the paddock on race weekends.

However in recent months Roscoe, who’s racked up more than a million Instagram followers, has suffered with ill-health.

Back in April it was revealed that the mutt had been struck down with with Roscoe’s trainer Kirstin McMillian writing: ‘Roscoe, because I know you are going to ask, he is going to his vet today. This is a vet that practices veterinary medicine where she combines Eastern and Western, that’s an integrative pet practice.

‘So she’s a real vet, she went to Davis and everything, but she went for a few years of additional training in holistic methods, Chinese medicine, acupuncture and things like that. What she is going to do with him today is a high-dose Vitamin C IV drop and this is supportive care.
